Steamer Power

In development — what we have so far. Details may change before release.

Steamer Power Interrupter

State-of-the-art coil-on-plug programmable ignition, like modern sports cars, on your small engine now!

Steamer Power Interrupter coil-on-plug ignition on a single-cylinder small engine
What it does

Spark, set from your phone.

No. I

Coil-on-plug ignition

Programmable coil-on-plug ignition for small engines. It drives GM LS-style smart coils, one coil per cylinder.

No. II

Singles first, V-twins in development

Built for single-cylinder engines. V-twin support is in development.

No. III

Replaces your magneto, and Guardian

The Interrupter replaces your stock magneto ignition and Guardian. Rev limit and 2-step are built in, so never run both on one engine.

No. IV

No timing light

The setup wizard learns your flywheel, then auto-tunes the timing while the engine runs at a steady speed.

No. V

Timing presets

Stock, Trail, Street and Race. You can also edit the RPM timing curve yourself.

No. VI

Rev limit and 2-step

A rev limiter and a 2-step launch limiter, adjusted live from your phone.

No. VII

Optional sensors

A MAP sensor for load timing, and a head-temperature sensor that pulls timing when the engine runs hot.

No. VIII

Nitrous input

Pulls timing while the nitrous is on.

No. IX

Progressive nitrous or boost

The AUX OUT wire ramps a nitrous solenoid in, or brings boost up step by step with a MAC solenoid. One job at a time, through a solid-state relay.

No. X

One sealed harness

One sealed plug-in harness.

Set up from your phone

Set up and tuned from the STOKER phone app over Bluetooth.

Tune it your way

Every curve is yours.

The planned tuning screens, shown as design mock-ups. They are not in the STOKER app yet.

Timing curveTry it · drag a point
Timing curve: 800 rpm 12.0 degrees, 1,500 rpm 16.0 degrees, 3,000 rpm 25.0 degrees, 4,500 rpm 28.0 degrees, 6,000 rpm 29.0 degrees, 7,500 rpm 28.0 degrees0°10°20°30°40°2k4k6k8k
3,000 rpm 25.0°

Pick a preset, then drag any point or tap it and use − and +. The box joins your points with straight lines: what you draw is what fires. This is a demo — nothing is sent to an engine.

Progressive nitrousTry it · move a slider

Press Run: the nitrous input closes and the ramp starts.

The solenoid opens part way, then ramps to full, so the hit builds instead of slamming the tires.

Demo only — nothing is sent to an engine. One AUX OUT wire: nitrous ramp or boost, one at a time.

Boost controlTry it · move a slider

Press Run: the engine goes into boost and the ramp starts.

A MAC solenoid on the wastegate line brings boost up step by step. Needs a 2- or 3-bar MAP sensor.

Demo only — nothing is sent to an engine. One AUX OUT wire: nitrous ramp or boost, one at a time.

Design mock-up of the planned STOKER app: timing curve editor: six points from idle to 8,000 rpm, with minus and plus buttons for the chosen point

The setup wizard

No timing light.

The planned STOKER setup walks you through it, one screen at a time. Shown as design mock-ups.

Spin and learn

Spin the engine with the spark off. The box learns your flywheel.
